DO YOU PROVIDE ANY MEDICAL, PERSONAL CARE, OR CLEANING SERVICES?

At this time, no. We specialize in end-of-life and elder care in the form of companionship, end-of-life planning, patient and family education, and emotional support.

HOW DO YOU FIT INTO MY LOVED ONE'S CARE TEAM?

We're here to help fill gaps, prevent burnout, and build (or restore) relationships. Above all else, we want to come alongside you and expand the circle that surrounds your loved one. We're not a replacement for Hospice, care facilities, in-home care, or palliative care; we're an added layer of emotional support for you and your loved one. We can serve as a go-between to help facilitate difficult conversations, or we can be here as a sounding board for different thoughts and ideas. 

WHEN SHOULD I CONTACT DORI'S DOVES?

Some people contact Dori's Doves at the beginning of a major life change for their loved one. Their loved one may be entering a nursing home or assisted living facility, or the family may be considering in-home care due to a change in health. Some contact us because they are the primary caregiver, and they are looking for respite care options that would allow them time to recharge and prevent burnout. Even if you're not yet sure how we can fit into your loved one's care team, we'd still love to meet you and explain how we can serve your family. 

DO YOU TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF THE DETROIT LAKES AREA?

Yes, we travel up to a 20 mile radius. And if you live outside the area, we can discuss different options on a case by case basis.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept card, check, and cash. We do not take Medicare or other insurance coverage.
