5 Resolutions for the Caregiver
Updated: Dec 29, 2019
If you’re reading this right now, there’s a good chance you are a caregiver or you know somebody who is. If that’s the case, you understand how difficult it can be for caregivers to take time for self-care. But with 2020 just around the corner, now is the perfect time to make some changes for the better. Because we all know that we do our best work when we are at our healthiest, I’m challenging you to adopt these 5 resolutions as your own this year:
-Identify 5 things that energize you (and make time to do them!)
-Eliminate 4 negative thoughts, actions, or habits.
-Brainstorm 3 new activities you can do with the person you care for.
-Reconnect with 2 people you haven’t been able to spend much time with.
-Find 1 new source of support for your caregiving journey.
If you’re looking for help with shouldering the burdens of caregiving, support is available. Check out our other blog posts or the resources page for helpful information about caregiving. Talk with a mental health professional or your physician if you have concerns about your health or well-being. And if you’re in need of another member of your care team, please reach out to Dori’s Doves so that we can discuss your options.
Have a blessed New Year from Dori’s Doves!
