ABOUT KATHRYN

Kathryn is the owner and founder of Dori's Doves. She has a heart for people, and she is committed to serving as a resource for caregivers in the Detroit Lakes area. Her passion for this field grew as she supported her mother through dementia and her eventual passing in January of 2018. Throughout her mom's stay at the nursing home, Kathryn spent considerable time working with her mom's care team and other family members to provide the best possible care for Dori. As they neared the end of Dori's life, Kathryn found herself learning more about the end-of-life process so that she could effectively support both her mom and her dad as they transitioned through this difficult time together. Kathryn is a Certified End of Life Specialist (CEOLS) through Teaching Transitions, and she looks forward to serving as a resource and source of support in the community.
